New York Culture.

Until this weekend's visit, I never liked New York. I experienced it in a way in which I feel like it is definitely somewhere I would live sometime very soon. I used to feel rushed around and anxious and nervous in that city. Not anymore. There are parts of it in which I would survive quite well.

Plus, I made good on a request that I try a red velvet cupcake (with cream cheese icing, no doubt). I had one from the cutest and best cupcake shop in all of the Brooklyn, and perhaps the whole country.

My hostess was just wonderful.

My culture war (and it wasn't really one, was it?) with New York is essentially over.

And yes, these are my photos.

The photos are beautiful.

I love New York. If I could live there, I would in a minute...unfortunately it's kind of expensive and I think you need a job to live there, unless of course you live in a sitcom world were no one really has a job that takes up much of their time...

I'm sad to say we haven't been to NYC in over two years. Probably it's been three years. I hope you had a great time on your trip.

I love New York. I don't know how one could not. It's just got so much history and so much character.

This is kinda funny. I can't say I have a problem with New York, because I have never really given it a chance. I was there twice for an afternoon at a time.

The net accumulation of all my interactions with New Yorkers makes it seem like the most unappealing place in the world for me. Obviously, not all New Yorkers. But more than enough have killed any interest in visting.

New York is fantastic. New York is even more fantastic when you're staying at the Westin in Times Square. At least that's what I've found...

Great pictures! You have quite an eye!

P.S. Email me your address and I'll send you some cookies when I make my next batch...Seriously!

Sp you found the place in Brooklyn,eh? Did you also find: BAM?,Sahadi's,Juniors?,D.U.M.B.O.? We try to hide many of our better places in order ro fool the tourists. We don't want them clogging up our access to them.

Speaking of Culture, Have you hit SOHO where fake culture is packaged & sold daily? or Loisaida where real culture is grown? You really can't be said to have had a sandwich until you've gone to Katz's deli. or walked up the block to Russ & Daughters Appetizers. Go to S'MAC & tell Sarita that I sent you- she will make all your Macaroni & Cheese Dreams come true.

Come on back and this time look around. Museums & Gallerys are nice but this is a city of 8 Million at night and 10+ during the day. There is too much going on to list!
