20 August 2008

Today was a good day.

At the end of what I would call a very good work day (I received some lovely, lovely news), my friend N called and asked if I wanted to head on down to my favorite town to see the Birds play the Red Sox.

Say what you will. I love Baltimore and I love Camden Yards.

N's a Red Sox fan, I'm a Orioles fan, and we had the best time. We cheer for our teams, but we don't taunt one another when things don't go well on the other side. We had hot dogs and soda and enjoyed a beautiful 70 degree August night.

It's strange to see Camden Yards half full of Red Sox fans, but it was fun to have all sides represented in the game. (There were even a few Cardinals fans in attendance.)

I skipped the gym to go to the ball game and I think it was a great decision.

In other news, I've started pondering counterfactuals again. You know, the what ifs? I'll probably have more to write about that in a little while.

"What ifs" are evil.

EVIL!

But I can't wait for your post on it.
