Happy Cinco De Mayo.

In celebration of Cinquo de Mayo--not really, but I have no segue here--I'd like to recognize one of my other loves.

That love is Photography.

I'm a terrible digital photographer, and I respect those who can do it well, but I will always be a fan of film photography and those who excel at that art.

One of the photographers I wish that I knew more about is Pedro E. Guerrero. I read a little bit about him recently and found his photographs and architecture to be absolutely compelling.

He did a lot of work with (and for) Frank Lloyd Wright. Plus he's an adorable man.

And for those of you who are fans of Alexander Calder (his work is everywhere in DC), here's a picture of Calder taken by Guerrero.

Tell me, readers, what I shall write about next. I'm thinking about writing about bathtubs.

If bathtubs are your passion then write about bathtubs.

Hmm. Bathtubs sound interesting. Rooms of cleanliness and the processes of being/becoming clean?

I would love a post about bathtubs. I would also love it if I had a bathtub.

he is adorable! You took some damn fine pics when you were down here. I need tips so I can get a camera that makes me look capable.

Claw footed bathtubs, please. Not dank little shower stalls.
